RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber
Updating a heraldic crest for a new generation.
With a growing presence on social media, the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Yorkshire and the Humber found that their current brand assets weren’t equipped to handle this new area of focus. They needed a new crest that worked well across all media and a user-friendly brand toolkit to build their own social graphics.
Inspired by the RFCA YH’s unique position as a tri-force area, a new colour palette was created that contained individual palettes for land, sea and air. As a result, the staff were equipped to build consistent graphics guided by context. As the finishing touch, the rose was refined into a strong one-colour symbol without losing the heraldic details that embody the rich heritage of the RFCA.
